Egdon Vows to Fight Council's Refusal to Grant Permit for Wressle
Egdon Resources plc pledges to submit a formal appeal against the North Lincolnshire Council Planning Committee's refusal to grant planning consent to progress the Wressle oil field.

Egdon Resources plc has pledged to submit a formal appeal against the North Lincolnshire Council Planning Committee’s refusal to grant planning consent to progress the development of the Wressle oil field.

The appeal, which was decided after consultation with Egdon’s joint venture partners, will be made “at the earliest opportunity,” according to a statement from the company.

In parallel to the appeal, Egdon revealed that it will submit a new planning application for the Wressle development, which will include even more detailed information to address the specific concerns outlined by North Lincolnshire Council in their refusal.

“We will look to progress both the new application and the appeal through the planning system as quickly as possible,” Egdon said in a statement on its website.

“We believe that this dual track approach will provide the best opportunity for a successful outcome with the minimum delay,” the statement continued.
