Petronas: LNG Train 9 in Sarawak Moves to Commercial Operations Phase

Petronas announced Monday that its LNG Train 9 in Bintulu, Sarawak, has moved to the commercial operations phase as of Jan. 1.

With its commercial operations start-up on target, the liquefied natural gas (LNG) production facility within the Petronas LNG Complex will now focus on the safe and reliable delivery of LNG to Petronas’ customers across Asia, according to a company statement.

The addition of the facility will boost the production capacity of the Petronas LNG Complex by 3.6 million tons per annum (MTPA) to approximately 30 MTPA, Petronas said.
