Alexey Miller, chairman of the Gazprom management committee, and Igor Dodon, president of the republic of Moldova, took part in a ‘working meeting’ at Gazprom’s headquarters to discuss ongoing and future cooperation in the gas industry.

The parties focused on Moldovagaz's business operations and Russian gas supplies to, and transit across, Moldova. No other details were disclosed.

Moldovagaz is a joint Russian-Moldovan company set up by Gazprom, the Moldovan Government, and the Ministry of Industry of Transnistria.

In 2016, consumers in the Republic of Moldova received 3 billion cubic meters of Russian gas.
