Report: CHC to Shut Down Bergen Base, Shed 100 Jobs
Offshore helicopter operator CHC will shut down its base in Bergen, Norway, and shed around 100 employees, according to a report from local newspaper Bergens Tidende.

Offshore helicopter operator CHC will shut down its base in Bergen, Norway, and shed around 100 employees, according to a report from local newspaper Bergens Tidende.

The report claimed that the closing of the office follows a contract loss with Statoil to CHC’s competitor, Bristow.

Earlier this month CHC said it would not make any redundancies following the loss of contract with Apache, the BBC reported.

Despite the commitment, CHC said it couldn’t rule out job losses in the future, according to the BBC.

CHC was not immediately available for comment.
