Aker BP Advised to Improve Evacuation Routes at Ivar Aasen Field

Aker BP ASA, which operates the Ivar Aasen field, has been advised by Public Safety Authority Norway to improve evacuation routes at the site, following an audit of the oil and gas field.

PSA Norway carried out the audit of AkerBP's arrangements for the administration and management of emergency preparedness and materials handling at Ivar Aasen from 24 to 27 October, 2016. The audit took place in the form of a meeting at the company's premises onshore, followed up by verifications on-board the facility.

AkerBP has been given a deadline of February 1 to report on how the non-conformities will be dealt with and how the improvement points will be assessed, according to a statement from PSA Norway.

Ivar Aasen, which is located in the North Sea, came online on December 24, 2016.
