Well Productivity Solution Wins Gazprom Prize

Russia's Gazprom announced late Wednesday that its annual Gazprom Science and Technology Prize went to well productivity solutions connected to its UGS (underground gas storage) facilities project, carried out by its Gazprom UGS subsidiary.

The set of engineering solutions, aimed at enhancing well productivity at the UGS facilities project, produced an economic benefit of sub 5.5 billion roubles ($94 million).

The runner-up prize was taken by Gazprom's office automation system that used specialized software and hardware produced by Gazprom Inform.
