Cooper Energy CFO Steps Down

Australia-focused exploration and production company Cooper Energy announced Wednesday that its chief financial officer Jason de Ross will be resigning Dec. 9.

Ross, who commenced employment with the company in September 2012, has played an important role in the company’s strategic growth, said Cooper Managing Director David Maxwell.

“Jason’s work in establishing a new finance team and systems and his oversight of our finance and administration, particularly during the challenges of the low oil prices of the past two years, has been invaluable to Cooper Energy,” Maxwell said.

“On behalf of the company I would like to record our appreciation for his contribution and legacy and wish him well for the future,” he added.

The company has indicated that it will initiate an external search process to look for Ross’ replacement.
