Malaysia based offshore oilfield services company Bumi Armada Berhad announced Friday that Kenneth Murdoch has decided to step down from his role as the firm’s chief financial officer, effective November 17.
As a result of Murdoch’s decision, Pierre Savy has been nominated as the acting CFO and will start in his new role with immediate effect. Murdoch will continue to support Savy in this transition period until his departure.
Savy has been an integral part of the finance and project organization since May 2015 and brings a wealth of industry experience, particularly in financial reporting, finance and internal controls, Bumi Armada said in a company statement. Prior to joining the company, Savy was the finance director of SBM Offshore in Kuala Lumpur, where he contributed to the implementation and performance of its operating centre. Before SBM, Savy was the CFO of Technip Asia Pacific.
“Mr. Harland (CEO and executive director) and the board of directors of Bumi Armada would like to express special thanks to Mr. Murdoch for his tremendous contributions to the company as a valued member of the management team, and wish him every success in his future endeavours,” said a Bumi Armada company statement.
