Sound Energy Spuds Second Tendrara Appraisal Well in Morocco

Mediterranean-focused upstream oil and gas company Sound Energy has spud the second appraisal well at Tendrara, onshore Morocco.

The well objectives of TE-7 include proving sufficient gas volumes and well deliverability to enable finalization of the field development plan and to demonstrate the benefits of sub-horizontal drilling, which is expected to be implemented as the production well concept for Tendrara.

Drilling is planned to reach a total measured depth of 11,286 feet, with specific tools being used to steer the well at close to an 88 degree angle inside the TAGI reservoir to ensure a horizontal drain of between 1,968 and 2,952 feet. Operations at the well are expected to be completed in approximately 94 days.
