Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd.'s subsidiary Keppel Singmarine is on schedule to deliver an anchor handling tug to Seaways International shortly following a naming ceremony Monday for the newbuild vessel -- Seaways 24 -- at its yard in Singapore.
The vessel, a multi-task anchor handling tug with a bollard pull of 120 tons designed to undertake an array of offshore activities, is equipped with Class 1 and 2 fire-fighting capabilities, Class 1 oil recovery capabilities and a host of other equipment.
"We are pleased to deliver our fifth anchor handling tug to our long-standing client Seaways ... we are confident that Seaways 24 will prove to be another valuable addition to their global fleet," Abu Bakar, Keppel Singmarine managing director said in the press release.
