Malaysia's SapuraKencana Secures $113M Contract for a Mexican Assignment

Malaysia's SapuraKencana Petroleum Berhad disclosed Monday that its wholly-owned subsidiary company, SapuraKencana Mexicana S.A.P.I. de C.V. (SKM) has secured a $113 million contract (approximately MYR 461 million) from Mexico's Pemex Exploracion y Produccion.

The contract covers the procurement and construction of an 11.1 mile (18 kilometer) -long 36 inch sour gas pipeline (KMZ – 76) from Platform E-KU-A2 to Platform CA-AJ-1(J4) in Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche, Mexico by Pemex Exploracion y Produccion .

SKM's workscope comprises transportation and installation of pipelines, crossings, top side modifications and subsea works, including procurement and project management, with works scheduled to commence this month and completion targeted for March 2017.
