Sea Trucks Group reported Monday that it has bagged a contract from Enap Sipetrol Argentina for a pipelay construction project for its PIAM Project in the Magallanes field, offshore Argentina.
The workscope covers engineering, project management and installation of 3 pipelines of various sizes ranging from 6 to 14 inch in water depths of up to 230 feet (70 meters), with one shore approach, as well as the installation of tie-in spools and risers. The contract also includes abandonment of two existing lines and recovery of flexibles. Sea Trucks also won a contract to provide accommodation services.
Jascon 34, one of the Sea Trucks’ DP3 (dynamic positioning 3) pipelay construction and accommodation vessels, has been nominated for both contracts and offshore activities are scheduled to commence in the final quarter of 2016.
“We are delighted that, in the present difficult market, Sea Trucks has been awarded this significant contract. This award demonstrates our ability to offer clients a flexible and tailored project solution based around the clients requirement, our extensive track record and unique multi purpose DP3 assets,” Jacques J. Roomans, president of Sea Trucks, said in the press release.
