Fire Forces Canadian Natural Resources to Shut Down Ninian Production

Canadian Natural Resources has been forced to shut down production at the North Sea Ninian platform after a fire broke out, according to reports.

CNR declined to comment on the reports when telephoned by Rigzone. Various media organizations have stated that all personnel at the site have been reported safe.

The Ninian field is located in the northern North Sea, around 239 miles north-northeast of Aberdeen. It is one of several assets in the area in which CNR holds an interest.
