Ikon Science Ltd., a Global GeoPrediction Company and leader in rock physics driven exploration and production (E&P), reported Tuesday that Dr. Denis Saussus, Chief Technology Officer has been appointed to the Ikon Science Board of Directors and that David Flett has been appointed as president Middle East and Central Asia in addition to his current role as president Asia Pacific.
Dr. Saussus brings over 20 years of industry experience and a deep knowledge of engineering, software development, research and management to the team. He joined Ikon Science from Jason Geosystems in 2012 as vice president of Global Development leading RokDoc software development and research. RokDoc has become the industry leading seismic reservoir characterization platform, integrating regional well data, rock physics, seismic modeling seismic inversion, geomechanics and geopressure in one intuitive package. Dr. Saussus also leads a unique initiative to interconnect RokDoc with the Schlumberger Petrel* platform to bring the value of quantitative geoscience to the broadest possible range of geoscience workflows and users.
David Flett joined Ikon in 2011 as vice president Asia Pacific reporting to Steve Hunt COO, and has built the Ikon business in the Asia Pacific region, His new role will also encompass Ikon’s growing business in the Middle East and Central Asia. Vispi Dumasia has been appointed as the Middle East and Central Asia Manager, based in Dubai reporting to David.
