Total's Indonesian Unit sees 1Q Mahakam Gas Production at 1.7 Bcfpd

JAKARTA, April 25 (Reuters) - Total E&P Indonesie, a unit of French oil firm Total sees first quarter natural gas production from the Mahakam Block at 1.7 billion cubic feet per day (Bcfpd), above its target of 1.5 Bcfpd for 2016, a company spokesman said on Monday.

Its first quarter oil production was in line with its targets at 65,000 barrel per day, spokesman Arividya Novianto told reporters.

Meanwhile, the company has proposed to relinquish the South Sageri block to the government, because "the prospect is not very promising", Novianto said.
