Polarcus Secures Marine Seismic Contract in Indonesia

Polarcus Limited announced Tuesday that it has received a letter of intent from an undisclosed client for a 3D marine seismic contract in Indonesia.

The project, which is Polarcus’ first in the country, is scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2016 and will run for approximately two months, according to a Polarcus statement. Last month, the company revealed that it had commenced the first of three 3D seismic projects offshore Brazil.

Polarcus’ Senior Vice President Asia Pacific, Cameron Astill, said in a company statement:

"It is a significant milestone to be awarded our first project in Indonesia. We look forward to deliver our client a high quality and efficient survey with the Polarcus XArray technique utilizing our triple-source configuration."
