Burren Sees Success with First Step-out Well on M'Boundi

Burren reports the successful results of well MB 801, the first of two step-out appraisal wells on the M'Boundi field in Congo which have the potential to increase field reserves.

MB 801 was drilled to a depth of 2,438 meters and perforated over a 48 meter section of the Vandji B reservoir. It tested at 1540 barrels of oil per day on a 40/64 inch choke, without water. It will be put on production shortly.

The other appraisal well, MB 701, is drilling ahead, and results are expected shortly.
