Northcote Sets Louisiana Well Spud Date

Northcote Energy announced Thursday that the Lutcher Moore #21 well at the Shoats Creek Field in Louisiana, US, will be spud May 16 as part of the company’s fully funded work program.

Following the completion of operations at LM #21, the Lutcher Moore #22 well will be drilled. Preparations to drill a third well, Lutcher Moore #23, will be made in the third quarter of this year, according to a Northcote statement.

Commenting on the company’s planned activity for 2016, Northcote Managing Director Randall J Connally said in a Northcote release:

"We are excited to initiate the 2016 work program at Shoats Creek Field. The projects on which we are focusing will drive production growth while achieving diversification from potentially five producing wells at Shoats Creek by year-end. At the same time, additional geophysical and engineering work will be initiated to high grade the Cockfield formation as we look to prepare to drill this formation.”
