Seadrill Secures Contract Extension for West Tellus Rig
Seadrill Limited has been awarded an 18 month contract extension for the West Tellus (UDW Drillship) by Petroleo Brasileiro SA, commencing in April 2018.
As part of the agreement to extend the West Tellus, which will secure work for the unit to the end of October 2019, Seadrill has agreed to a dayrate reduction on the current contract effective from February 26, 2016, resulting in a $132 million reduction in backlog.
The West Tellus is currently drilling in Brazil.
