Ungani Far West 1 Flows Oil
Buru Energy Limited announced Friday that the Ungani Far West 1 well in the Canning Basin, Western Australia, has flowed 1,680 barrels of fluid per day during testing of the well’s upper zone.
The fluid is said to comprise between 50 and 70 percent of “high quality” 41.6 degree API oil. As a result of the limited on-site oil and water storage facilities, the well has been shut in. Operations are currently underway to determine the size of the oil column present.
Following the completion of testing on Ungani Far West 1’s upper zone, operations will begin focusing on the well’s middle zone.
