Forsys Subsea, a joint venture between FMC Technologies and Technip, has been awarded a contract from Statoil to provide a subsea front-end engineering and design (FEED) study for the subsea tie-back of the Trestakk field to the Åsgard A FPSO.
The scope of the FEED includes work on umbilicals, risers, flowlines and the subsea production system. A key focus of the study is to arrive at an optimal technical and cost efficient development solution, according to a company statement, as well as providing a clear and well defined basis for the development phase. Forsys Subsea will execute this FEED contract from its regional office in Oslo, Norway, in close cooperation with Technip and FMC Technologies.
Forsys Subsea CEO Rasmus Sunde said in a company statement:
“The Trestakk FEED award from Statoil shows our commitment to reducing costs and improving returns for our customers by combining the capabilities and experience of the alliance between FMC Technologies and Technip.”
