Polarcus Secures 4D Survey Project Offshore Norway

Polarcus Limited announced Friday that it will conduct a 4D survey project over a field offshore Norway in May this year.

This will be the eighth monitor survey over the field, which remains nameless, and is part of an improved oil recovery (IOR) plan. No specifics were revealed regarding the company that commissioned the survey, which is scheduled to run for approximately eight weeks.

Commenting on the award Duncan Eley, chiefe operating officer of Polarcus, said in a company statement:

"We are very pleased to have been chosen for this 4D acquisition which has been designed to develop a monitoring program for optimal well placement and drainage of the field. The project now forms part of a substantial work program that we have for the coming season and underlines our commitment to the North Sea arena and to offshore Norway in particular".
