Global Petroleum Director Resigns from Board

Global Petroleum Limited, which is currently focusing on emerging plays in Africa and the Mediterranean, announced Friday that Peter Dighton, one of its two Australian resident non-executive directors, has resigned from the board.

Dighton’s departure is due to the “increasing demands of his other business interests”, according to a company statement. He will leave the board with effect from January 25, 2016 and will be replaced following the completion of Global’s search for a new non-executive director resident in Australia, which has already commenced.

Global’s Chairman, John van der Welle, commented in a company statement:

"On behalf of the board, I'd like to thank Peter for his valuable contribution as a director over the last four years, and previously in the years 2003 to 2008, and to wish him well with his other business interests."
