Malaysia’s Scomi Energy Services Bhd (SESB) has secured a contract worth $41.6 million from Total E&P Indonésie (TEPI) for the provision of drilling fluids and completions services.
The contract, which is for a period of one year, is an extension from a previous three-year award which was signed with TEPI in 2012. SESB is currently working to expand its product portfolio to include enhanced oil recovery, completion fluids and tools as well as well bore clean up services.
SESB’s Chief Financial Officer, Ramesh Veetikat Ramachandran, commented in a company statement:
“We are pleased to continue working with TEPI and this contract is a huge vote of confidence by TEPI on our capability. This win is the result of our continuous active bidding despite the global slowdown in drilling activities.”
