Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) found gas at Thal East Well #01 in Block 2769-15 in the Sukkur District, Sindh Province, Pakistan, the firm reported to Pakistan Stock Exchange Thursday.

OGDCL said the Thal East Well #01, drilled down to a depth of 14,659 feet (4,468 meters) and found reserves of hydrocarbon potential in Basal Sand of Lower Goru Formation, produced 23.5 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscf/d) of gas through 36/64 inch choke at well head flowing pressure of 3,280 pounds per square inch gage (psig).

"The discovery of Thal East Well #01 will add to the significant hydrocarbon reserves base of the OGDCL and the country," the company said.
