Valmec Limited, an Australian energy and multi-discipline services group providing specialized packaged equipment, engineering, construction, commissioning and integrity maintenance services to the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors, announced Thursday that it has secured a contract for the supply, installation supervision and commissioning of two gas compressor packages from New Zealand based Vector Gas Limited for its compression project in Auckland.
The packages will be designed and manufactured by Exterran Offshore Pty Ltd., a subsidiary of NYSE listed Exterran Corporation and with whom Valmec has a Sales Representation Agreement. Exterran's works will be undertaken at their Singapore facilities.
"We are delighted to have secured this contract and look forward to further expanding our East Coast and New Zealand markets," Valmec Managing Director Steve Dropulich said.
With a contract value of approximately $3 million (AUD 4.3 million), works on the project are expected to commence immediately, with the start-up and commissioning phases expected to be completed in mid-2017.
