Icon Offshore Clinches $5.2M Contract for Oil Major's Malaysia Operations

Malaysia's Icon Offshore Berhad reported Friday that its wholly owned subsidiary Icon Offshore Group Sdn Bhd (IOGSB) has received a letter of award from an oil major for the provision of an utility tug vessel to support the latter's production operations and well services activities in the country.

Under the contract, IOGSB shall provide the vessel for three years, commencing Oct. 21, 2015 with the oil major holding an option to extend the deal by of a year, Icon Offshore said in a filing on local stock exchange Bursa Malaysia.

Icon Offshore indicated that the contract was valued at approximately $5.2 millon (MYR 22 million) exclusive of the extension period,
