Ingen Ideas, an Amec Foster Wheeler company, has secured a five-year multi-discipline engineering contract, worth approximately $12 million, from Marathon Oil.
The contract, which covers Marathon Oil’s Brae Complex in the North Sea, will run for five years with the potential for two further five-year extensions. As part of the agreement, Ingen will carry out subsea and topsides work, including onshore operations support, projects and modifications engineering and technical consultancy.
Wayne Strachan, Ingen General Manager, commented in a company statement:
“This is the first contract award of this scale for Ingen. It signifies how, in the current economic climate, Ingen’s approach to consultancy engineering, with the global support of Amec Foster Wheeler, can add value by being agile, responsive and proportionate to the exact requirements of the project.”
