88 Energy Expects Icewine #1 Drilling to Remain in Budget Despite Delays
88 Energy Limited expects its drilling operations at the Icewine #1 exploration well, located onshore Alaska, to remain within budget despite delays related to equipment repair.
The energy firm announced November 24 that repairs to drawworks were delayed due to a specialist engineer being held up at the Canada-USA border as a result of unexpected visa issues. Repairs were eventually completed on November 25 and operations have since recommenced at Icewine #1.
88 Energy Limited Managing Director, Dave Wall, commented in a company statement:
“It is great to be back in business and only days away from reaching the top of the HRZ primary shale target. We thank shareholders for their patience during what has been a frustrating period.”
