Deepsea Bergen Finishes Yard-Stay

Odfjell Drilling announced Friday that the Deepsea Bergen (mid-water semisub) has finished its yard-stay in connection with a five year special periodic survey and is now in transit to Norway to resume operations.

Simen Lieungh commented in a company statement:

“We are proud of demonstrating our ability to surpass the high ambitions set for this yard-stay. Planning and performing efficient and safe yard stays is an important success factor for Odfjell Drilling and the Deepsea Bergen yard stay adds to our proven track record. We believe these results will further strengthen Odfjell Drilling's reputation as an integrated service provider offering project management services also for third party rig owners.”

Including the expected transit time of three to four days, the five year special periodic survey is expected to be executed on budget and on time. The drilling unit is currently used by Statoil in the North Sea.
