MOL Group has invited students to take part in the company’s second international UPPP competition, which will see applicants solve exploration, field development and production related tasks.
As part of the UPPP competition, students will work within a team and compete in virtual scenarios over the internet. The top five teams will then compete in a live final in Budapest for a total prize pot of $28,000, with MOL claiming that the best talents could receive job offers from the group or a chance to take part in MOL’s UPPP Technical Placement Program. The main objective of the TPP is to give students entrepreneurial skills and technical expertise.
Zdravka Demeter Bubalo, HR vice president of MOL Group commented in a company statement:

This year we continue the adventure with even bigger enthusiasm and offer qualified top students real-life challenges and the opportunity to join MOL Group’s upstream division. The UPPP programme is dedicated to those students who are searching for new adventures and want to start their careers in the oil and gas industry."
MOL Group announced earlier this month that it had hired 200 new graduates as part of its GROWWW program, which saw applications from 10,000 candidates from all over the world. So far, MOL has hired 1,770 graduates since its GROWWW program was launched in 2007. On May 28, 2015, MOL announced the winners of another graduate recruitment program, called Freshhh, which allowed students to compete against each other in technology and business strategy simulations related to the oil and gas industry.
