Denmark to Review Open Door Application

The Danish Energy Authority on June 15, 2004 received an application for a License for exploration and production of hydrocarbons under the Open Door Procedure. The application concerns an area at the Norwegian/Danish boundary in the eastern part of the North Sea.

The applicants are CLAM Danske B.V., Kerr-McGee International ApS and Arco Denmark Ltd.

According to the Open Door Procedure the oil companies have opportunity to apply for Licenses at any time during the yearly opening period from the 2nd of January until the 30th of September.The Open Door Procedure applies to the entire onshore area, the inner Danish waters and the North Sea. However, the Central Graben and adjacent areas are not included.

The application is now being considered by the Danish Energy Authority
