Norshore Atlantic to Commence Work for Oil Major Off Indonesia in October

Norway's Norshore announced Tuesday that it has signed a contract with an oil major for the use of Norshore Atlantic multipurpose drilling vessel for plug and abandonment of three wells in Indonesia.

The vessel is now in Singapore, where a 18.75 inch BOP (blowout preventer) and a riser are being installed ahead of the upcoming assignment, which is scheduled to start mid-October.

Norshore's CEO Petter H. Tomren commented in a press release that "it is very encouraging to see that Norshore's ability to provide cost efficient solutions to our clients, and especially to the oil majors, again has proven to be successful, even in today's difficult market conditions."
