UIL Energy announced Friday that it is planning to acquire up to 164 miles of 2D seismic data across three central Perth Basin permits.
The program, which would be conducted across EP447, EP488 and EP489, aims to upgrade the nine conventional leads already identified in the Australian permits. UIL Energy has submitted the environmental documents for the 2D seismic survey to the Department of Mines and Petroleum for approval. Subject to receiving all statutory approvals, the survey is scheduled to begin in early 2016.
UIL owns 100 percent of EP488 and EP489, as well as 50 percent of EP447. The company is the operator of all three permits.
