Russia's Gazprom 1Q Net Profit Up 71% to 382.1B Roubles

MOSCOW, Aug 10 (Reuters) – Gazprom, Russia's largest gas producer, posted a 71-percent increase in the first quarter net profit to 382.1 billion roubles ($5.91 billion), the company said on Monday.

Gazprom, which saw net profit at 223 billion roubles in the same period a year ago, was expected to post 348 billion roubles in January-March.

The company said its revenue was at 1.65 trillion roubles, up from 1.56 trillion roubles the same period a year ago. ($1 = 64.6375 roubles)
