InterOil Spuds Triceratops-3 Well in Papua New Guinea
InterOil Corporation announced Monday that it has spud the Triceratops-3 appraisal well in Petroleum Retention License 39, located in the Gulf Province of Papua New Guinea.
Triceratops-3 is targeting additional volumes northwest of previous appraisal wells, according to InterOil. The company’s latest well is approximately 3.4 miles northwest of Triceratops-1 and around 21 miles northwest of Elk-Antelope.
InterOil is the operator of the Triceratops-3 well, with a 69 percent interest. Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp. holds a 12.9 percent interest in the well and the remaining 18 percent is held by minority interests.
