The 11th Annual Getenergy Global event will take place on the 15-16th June at the Business Design Centre London, hosting senior delegations from 43 nations all seeking new opportunities and partnerships in education and training for the oil and gas industry.
There will be 40 oil and gas, and service companies, 45 training providers and over 35 universities and colleges represented at the event. It is our belief and theirs’ that in the low oil price environment, training and education becomes ever more crucial to ensure operations are run efficiently, safely and maximize value. When budgets are under scrutiny, there is a real danger of cuts for short term savings resulting in potentially very damaging longer term effects.
Getenergy, for 12 years has led the campaign for stronger partnerships between education and training in oil and gas, along with our partners including Eni, Tullow Oil, Sierra Oil, CB&I, Schlumberger, Anadarko, MOL Group and African Petroleum all strongly believe in the importance of continuing investment in training budgets as a core part of the operational business.
Representatives from IOCs, NOCs, EPC companies, universities and training providers will be providing insight into their education and training initiatives throughout the course of the two days. Key highlights include BG Group who will present their leadership development program, GE Oil & Gas and Maersk Oil discussing their competency assurance programs and the CEOs of Schlumberger UAE and Penspen sharing their university relationships strategies. The China University of Petroleum Beijing who has the ambition to be the single largest oil and gas training provider in the world, will also be sharing their international training objectives and opportunities for partnerships, as well as the CEO of INSTEP discussing PETRONAS’ technical training and Petrobras on their Corporate University.
