PTSC CGGV Commences 3D Seismic Survey in Block 127 Offshore Vietnam
Southeast Asia-focused oil and gas exploration and production company Mitra Energy Inc. revealed that the firm, through its subsidiary operating company Mitra Energy (Vietnam Phu Khanh) Pte Ltd., commenced 3D seismic survey acquisition operations in the Block 127 Production Sharing Contract (PSC) area in the southern end of the Phu Kanh Basin, offshore Vietnam.
The survey is being undertaken by PTSC CGGV Geophysical Survey Co., Ltd. utilizing the 3D seismic survey vessel “Amadeus”. The 3D seismic survey is planned to cover a full-fold area of 206 square miles (533 square kilometers) and will fulfil the PSC Exploration Phase One extension 3D seismic survey acquisition commitment of 193 full-fold square miles (500 full-fold square kilometers).
The survey is anticipated to take 21 days to complete.
