Seismic Firm TGS Appoints New CFO

Seismic survey specialist TGS announced Wednesday that it has appointed Sven Børre Larsen as its new chief financial officer and that he will begin working in the role no later than Dec. 1, 2015. He replaces Kristian Johansen, whose promotion to chief operating officer at TGS was announced in December 2014.

Larsen was previously the chief financial officer at accommodation support vessel operator Prosafe Management AS in Norway. He also has experience as a financial analyst in a broad range of industries, including the oil services sector.

TGS CEO Robert Hobbs commented in a company statement:

"I am pleased to have Sven join our executive team. He brings a wealth of knowledge as a proven CFO of a successful oil and gas services organization and I look forward to his contribution to TGS' continued success."
