Halliburton Opens New HQ to Support its Operations in Indonesia

Halliburton reported Monday that the company opened its new Indonesian headquarters in Jakarta with a ribbon-cutting ceremony April 27. This facility serves as Halliburton’s headquarters for all of its business lines in Indonesia, which provide services to support customers’ activities in the country.

This new facility will increase the efficiencies and capabilities of the company’s resources specifically focused on the mature fields, deepwater and unconventionals markets in Indonesia. The additional synergies from the facility includes enhanced integrated services, equipment maintenance, job preparation and execution and a high-level of service quality for Halliburton’s customers in Indonesia.

“Halliburton has been operating in Indonesia for 40 years, and, even in the current global market conditions, we remain committed to the Indonesian market to help the country meet its energy needs,” said Jeff Miller, president of Halliburton, who attended the event. “We’ve designed this facility to support our customers’ goals to enhance well productivity, ultimately lowering operating costs.”

Also attending the event was Sudirman Said, the Indonesian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, and Shannon Slocum, Halliburton vice president, Indonesia. Executives of many of the Indonesian oil and gas companies also attended.

In his remarks at the ceremony, Sudirman commented, “Halliburton’s newly built and expanded facilities in the southern part of Jakarta highlights the confidences of the multinational companies to the promising future business prospects in the upstream oil and gas sector in Indonesia.”

The 290,626-square foot (27,000-square meter) facility is located in the Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) area and includes offices, a warehouse and maintenance and training facilities. It supports a workforce of more than 2,000 employees.
