Carimin Petroleum Berhad, an offshore oil and gas support services provider in Malaysia, reported that its wholly owned unit Carimin Engineering Sdn Bhd had entered into collaboration agreements (COA) April 24 with two companies in the Middle East, the firm said in its filing Monday with local stock exchange Bursa Malaysia.
The agreements were signed with Saudi Arabia's Makamin Offshore Saudi Ltd. Co. (MOS) and United Arab Emirates' Petro Allied International DMCEST (PAI).
MOS services offerings include offshore support vessels, diving support, manpower provision and offshore repair & maintenance. The range of services offered by Dubai-based PAI include offshore support vessels, offshore transport and installation, inshore marine services as well as decommissioning and salvage.
On its part, Carimin Engineering is focused on hook-up and commissioning (HUC), topside major maintenance (TMM), subsea services, marine vessels chartering and manpower supply services in the oil and gas platforms in Malaysia.
"Carimin Engineering and both MOS and PAI are desirous in combining its resources and expertise to pursue selective opportunities involving HUC, topside, subsea services, marine vessel chartering and manpower supply services which are often executed simultaneously in projects in the Saudi Arabia, Middle East and the South East Asia region markets subject to the terms of the COA," Carimin said in the announcement.
Currently, MOS business presence is in Saudi Arabia, while PAI's focus is on the Middle East (excluding Saudi Arabia), Southeast Asia and Australia.
The partners will focus on projects covering offshore pipeline installation and replacement; engineering, procurement, and construction projects; and construction of marine and port projects.
