Enhanced oil recovery specialist Interwell UK announced Friday that its UK country manager, David Aitken, is taking over as managing director – replacing the firm's current MD, Andrew Louden, who is leaving the business after four years in charge.
Louden oversaw the expansion of the UK subsidiary of Norway-based Interwell AS from just two employees to its current headcount of 48, while its revenues have increased from $1.5 million to $24.6 million.
New MD Aitken joined Interwell in January 2011 as UK operatons manager, following a career in oilfield services. In his new role as UK managing director he will assume responsibility for all of Interwell's core business activities in the UK and West Africa.
Interwell AS CEO Eirik Bergsvik commented in a company statement:
"I'd like to thank Andrew for his significant contribution to the growth of the Interwell business in the demanding UK market. He has built, and leaves behind a strong, committed team.
"Dave's acute focus on safe operations and service quality, his proven management skills, and his comprehensive understanding of running a well services business makes him the ideal person to lead the UK team during this exciting new phase of further expansion."
