Icon Offshore Bags $12.3M Contracts to Supply OSVs for Work Off Malaysia
Malaysia's Icon Offshore Berhad disclosed Wednesday that the firm's wholly owned subsidiary Icon Offshore Group Sdn Bhd has been awarded the several contracts, valued at approximately $12.3 million (MYR 43 million), to provide offshore support vessels in Malaysia, the company said in a filing with local stock exchange Bursa Malaysia.
Icon Offshore will supply a straight supply vessel (SSV) to EQ Petroleum Production Malaysia Limited, while the company received contract extensions to provide one utility tug vessel (UV) and one anchor handling tug/supply vessel (AHTS) to oil majors.
The SSV contract, which is for a firm period of two years with option to extend for a further one year, is expected to commence in early December. Meanwhile, the UV deal commenced in October, while the AHTS contract, which has been extended for 134 days, is expected to commence in early December.
