Seabird Receives LOI for Seismic Survey in Southeast Asia

Norwegian seismic survey company SeaBird Exploration Plc reported Tuesday that it has received a letter of intent for a 2D seismic survey in Southeast Asia, commencing in January 2015.

Completion of the survey, with a contract value estimated at $12-13 million, is expected to take 3.5 to 4 months to complete, Seabird said in a press release.

Earlier on Monday, SeaBird revealed that its Harrier Explorer vessel has signed a Letter of Award, worth approximately $2 million, for a 2D seismic survey in West Africa.

The minimum survey size under the contract is 1,242 miles (2,000 kilometers), with work -- expected to commence during November -- to be completed in around 20 days.
