Nordic Energy Strengths its Board with Two Appointments
Northwest Europe-focused junior oil and gas firm Nordic Energy announced Wednesday that it has appointed two new directors. The firm has appointed Don Nicolson as non-executive chairman and Jeremy Kane as a non-executive director with immediate effect.
Nordic said that these appointments are in line with its next phase of development and desire to expand the company's technical team.
Nicolson has 26 years' experience working for BP, with his last role at that company being director and business unit leader for BP North Sea. He is currently chairman of IHF Ltd – a company providing services and consultancy to the oil and gas sector.
Kane has more than 40 years' experience working in marketing and public affairs. He is the former chairman of Elko Energy and non-executive director of Xtract Resources.
Nordic CEO Rudolf Kleiber commented in a company statement:
"We are delighted to welcome these experienced individuals to the board. These additions will further strengthen the board both from an industry and regulatory perspective. In particular, Don's experience of working with an AIM [Alternative Investment Market] listed company and his many years at BP will support our progress as a company and also our proposed admission to AIM."
Nordic is an exploration and production company focused on Denmark, Norway and the North Sea sectors of the Netherlands and the UK.
