Mirach Gets Sumatra's Kampung Minyak Field KM13-A Well Petrophysics Report

Singapore-listed Mirach Energy reported Friday that its subsidiary, Prisma Kampung Minyak Limited has received a third party Petrophysics Report from PT Elnusa TBK, for its KM13-A (or KM612) open-hole well log in Kampung Minyak (KM) oil field, South Sumatra, Indonesia.

PT Elnusa TBK is the only Indonesia state company that possesses combined competencies in oil and gas services including seismic, drilling and oilfield services, in compliance with global standards in work safety and environment.

The report interpreted 3 oil reservoirs and 4 gas reservoirs. In the developed Muara Enim Formation, oil reservoir thickness aggregated 23.62 feet (7.2 meters). Sudan-6 at around 1,082 feet (330 meters) is interpreted as the layer with the greatest potential, recording sandstone reservoir thickness 15 feet (4.6 meters). In the same formation, two coal bed methane (CBM) reservoirs aggregating 68.2 feet (20.8 meters) are detected at around depth of 721.7 feet (220 meters).

In the Air Benakat Formation, there are 13 oil layers with total 192.2 feet (58.6 meters) of oil sand. The interpretation shows great potential in S10A and S13 layers at around 2,067 feet (630 meters) and 3,149 feet (960 meters) respectively, which tested a total sandstone reservoir thickness of 65.6 feet (20 meters). In addition, 2 gas zones with 49.2 feet (15 meters) thickness at around depth of 1,509.1 feet (460 meters) and 2,269.6 feet (700 meters) are recorded as well.

We are pleased that the interpretation from PT Elnusa TBK is in line with the Company’s technical team. The Company has high hopes for the final certified original oil in place (OOIP) in the KM Deep area, which will be certified in the final year report. Production in the area will commence soon, with perforating set to be conducted next week. The Company will provide updates of the production results for 13A once it stablilizes.
