Harkand Appoints New Head of Engineering Services

Oilfield engineering firm Harkand announced Monday that it has appointed a new head of engineering services for Europe. The firm said that Alan White will take over the role, overseeing a 40-strong team at the firm's Aberdeen headquarters.

Harkand said that White has more than 20 years' experience in subsea construction and project management, having worked for other major contractors on various high-profile subsea pipeline projects from design to fabrication and delivery in the North Sea.

Harkand Europe Managing Director David Kerr commented in a company statement:

"We are excited to have someone of Alan’s calibre taking up this brand new position to grow our capabilities.

"With Alan's talent and wealth of technical and management experience in the oil and gas industry, I am confident his appointment to our senior management team will see him further developing and enhancing the strengths within his department, moving the company closer to its strategic goal of $1 billion revenue by 2018."

Harkand provides offshore vessels, ROVs, diving, survey services, project management and engineering to the oil and gas and renewables industries.
