WDS Bags $60.7M Contracts for GLNG, Daandine Projects in Australia
WDS Limited, a leading integrated services provider to the energy and mining sectors, reported Wednesday that its Energy Division, has won contracts in Australia with a total value of circa $60.7 million (AUD 65 million), for delivery in the current financial year.
The contracts with Santos Limited (GLNG Project), and Arrow Energy, continue to broaden WDS’ reach across the coal seam gas (CSG) participants.
WDS - China Petroleum Engineering & Construction Corporation (CPECC) JV Awarded Construction Master Services Agreement with Arrow Energy
The WDS - CPECC JV has been awarded the Construction Master Services Agreement with Arrow Energy for Arrow’s planned Daandine Facility Expansion Project. The term of the Agreement is 2 years with an option to extend for a further 1 year.
The facility at Daandine is a compression station that is being upgraded to support Arrow’s commitment to Australia’s domestic gas market. The expansion is being managed by Arrow’s engineeering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) partner, Clough Amec Joint Venture. WDS’ partner CPECC is a major engineering and construction company with large-scale petrochemical and water projects across the Asian, African and American continents as well as in Australia.
WDS Managing Director Terry Chapman said that the new agreement followed on from the award of the Field Development and Operation Construction Master Services Agreement earlier this year. “This new contract further strengthens the relationship between Arrow Energy and WDS and provides us with a further opportunity to expand our service offerings to CSG Upstream Developments," Chapman said.
The JV will provide the following services:
- mechanical and electrical installation of infrastructure
- fabrication and installation of wellhead surface infrastructure
- installation of associated gas distribution and water gathering flow lines
- High voltage and low voltage power works; and
- civil construction and maintenance works
The JV will commence mobilization for the project in September with personnel, plant and equipment managed out of the joint venture’s Brisbane office. The works will be conducted in the Surat Basin in Southern Queensland with support provided out of WDS facilities in Brisbane, Dalby, Roma, and WDS’ fabrication facilities in Yatala, south of Brisbane.
