Beach Completes Drilling at Fishery-1 Well in Cooper Basin's Permit PEL 92

Cooper Energy Limited disclosed Monday that Fishery-1, the second well of the current three well exploration campaign in PEL 92, Cooper Basin, South Australia, has been plugged and abandoned after reaching a total depth of 6,633 feet (2,022 meters) and encountering hydrocarbons in the primary target which were considered non-commercial.

The rig will move to the Shelly-1 well location which is located east of the Windmill oil field. The drilling of Shelly-1 will mark the completion of the current exploration program.

Participating interests in PEL 92 are:

  • Cooper Energy: 25 percent
  • Beach Energy: 75 percent and Operator
