Key Petroleum Mobilizes Rig to Dunnart-2 Wellsite in Permit EP 437 in WA

Key Petroleum (Australia) Pty Ltd. (Key or Company), a wholly owned subsidiary of Key Petroleum Limited, reported Monday that earthwork operations and rig mobilization has begun at the Dunnart-2 wellsite in permit EP 437 in north Perth Basin, Western Australia.

During the week Drilling Contractors of Australia (DCA) commenced mobilizing components of the DCA Rig 7 and equipment including cranes, platforms and ramps. A laydown area for the mobilization of further DCA Rig 7 equipment and trucks will be constructed this week.

The cellar well has been installed and the construction of a flare pit and sump have been completed.

Pipework has been rolled out and completed. This will connect water from tanks adjacent to the pad to the rig and mud tanks for drilling operations.

DCA will mobilize the remaining rig equipment this week and the office quarters for the Drilling Manager and Welllsite Geologist will be brought on to the site before the drill pad layout is gravelled and fenced off.

The anticipated spud date of the conductor hole section is anticipated to be the first week of July.
